About the Event: Ecstatic dance is all about getting your body moving and connecting with your physical self! You can bob your head, tap your foot or go all out and jam with the DJ. This is a drug-free zone and all dancers are encouraged to let their body express in whatever way comes up for you.

Benefits of Dance: build neuroplasticity, express yourself, connect with your physical body, release endorphins, boost dopamine, reduce depression symptoms, reduce stress, get some exercise, find community.

What to Expect:

• Opening and Coffee! - sign in when you get there. First 15 minutes is greeting, grabbing coffee, meeting people
• Guided Body release - with Julia, our facilitator, to help you connect to the body and begin to move
• Community Circle - to open and discuss what Ecstatic Dance is about and why we are all here. Review some rules and guidelines for dancing. Discuss respecting each others space.
